Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city in Brazil, with a total of 12 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area. Political capital of Brazil until 1960, is located in the southeast of the country and attracts thousands of tourists every year, attracted by the famous beaches, the fun and vibrant culture.

Due to its privileged location between the sea and the mountains, and the mild climate throughout the year, Rio de Janeiro will welcome you in its white sand beaches, such as Copacabana and Ipanema, the monumental Christ the Redeemer that overlooks the city from Mount Cordovado.

Capital of samba and carnival paradise, the city Rio offers visitors a warm welcome all year round, with a rich calendar of festivals and cultural events.
In addition, Rio de Janeiro, founded by the Portuguese Gaspar de Lemos in 1502 in the Bay of Guanabara, still retains the sumptuous historic buildings in the capital, which was until the construction of Brasilia.

Rio, the city of beautiful women, the carnival samba, the mysteries of macumba, the Maracana stadium, the colonial streets, churches and parks.
But even in the favelas, the total poverty and not hidden, the beggars, street children.

City tender and sweet, cheerful and hectic, but also desperate. The Carnival, of course, is the event of the year, with the parade of samba schools (each with gorgeously dressed dancers 2-3000). The most important is Sunday, with three groups of schools: the first (do not miss) in Avenida Presidente Vargas, the second in Avenida Rio Branco, the third in Avenida Graça Aranha. But the party rages in every corner of the city, for four days, from Saturday to Tuesday.
